Samsung UN55C7000 3D LED HDTV Review

Overview
The UNC7000 is the first series of Samsung LED TV to feature the advanced 3D technology. It is also the least-expensive 2010 Samsung LED model with 240Hz processing, so it should exhibit similar motion resolution performance to the company’s UNB8000 series from 2009.

The UNC7000 series includes the following models: UN40C7000, UN46C7000, UN55C7000. In this review, we are looking at the Samsung UN55C7000 which is the 55-inch model which provides user with cinematic-quality 3D movie and entertainment at home on its 55 inch display screen that is capable of Full 1080p HD output.

The 3D
Overall, the Samsung UN55C7000 produces a decent 3D effect with a good sense of depth to the images, although you may sometimes find the 3D effect breaking down when the camera panned around or moved quickly. That’s because the 3D effect relies on the brain detecting the differences between the two images, and that doesn’t work when it can’t figure out the difference between one blurry mess and another. Note also that you will need to wear a pair of 3D glasses to enjoy the 3D effect on this TV. The glasses contain LCD shutters that turn on and off to show each eye a separate image 60 times a second. Without the glasses, you see a confusing mess of two images slightly offset. So make sure you get the Samsung 3D Starter Kit together with the TV set or you will not be able to enjoy the 3D effect.
